We just returned home tonight from spending the past few days in IOWA ... we went to see Grandpa Jim and Grandma Jane! You are going to see picture overload ... because we had so much fun AND my babies are so DANG cute!!!!
We are SO blessed to have these dear people in our lives who love our babies as if they are their own grand-babies! I cry every time we leave (or they leave our house)!!!
This weekend was a treat for Todd ... we are celebrating his 40th birthday by giving him 40 days of gifts leading up to his birthday .... well, Grandpa Jim wanted to surprise him big time ... and well I think he has accomplished it!
Jim got a 4-some golf set up at an INCREDIBLE golf course and secretly invited 2 of Todd's friends to surprise him and join them for golf. Todd was more than a bit shocked to see Peter & Tony in Galena, IL ready to play golf with them on Friday morning .... he keeps talking about it.
Then we enjoyed a very nice dinner in Galena with Tony & Shirley and Jim & Jane ... what a spectacular day it was!
Then Grandpa Jim and Grandma Jane took our babies while Todd and I enjoyed dinner and a walk on the River Walk ... we even went to Taste Of Dubuque .... though we didn't taste anything at all (too full from dinner:).
Now I need to go get some sleep to start another busy week.

Hmm . . . I was just thinking ahead to Todd's 80th birthday! That will be almost 3 months of surprises. :o) You're doing a fantastic job celebrating your husband!
