UPDATE WEEKS 1-22

LAS VEGAS - JANUARY, 2008

So I am finally updating the blog from the past 23 weeks of being blessed with the news that we are having a baby! It has been a long 23 weeks - but every moment worth it knowing that your baby is healthy and doing well.

WEEKS 1-4: I didn't know that I was pregnant. However, my husband states that I was very crabby? He didn't know what was wrong with me....I am still not sure he thinks that month was worth it...it was pretty bad-but he is a sweetie and smiles about it now:)

WEEKS 4-14: These weeks are rather a blur as I was really, really sick! Morning sickness - morning, noon & night! I have never really been fond of food - this made it even worse. Todd had to do all the cooking and even then it could not smell it. I ate a lot of non-salted crackers and ginger ale. I was very thankful when I woke up one morning not feeling sick - just like that!

WEEKS15-17: The holidays were here. My little brother was getting married. And I got a really bad upper respitory infection. I couldn't sleep unless I was sitting on the couch. I thought I was going to cough up a lung! And of course, I really didn't want to take anything being preganant...so I rested as much as possible.

WEEK 18: My sweet husband took me to Las Vegas to see Jay Leno (I have been wanting to see him for a long time). We had a great time and I was feeling really good. We walked ALOT!! And it felt good to be in warmer weather. When we got on the plane to come home I started having extreme aching in my legs. Thinking that I had overdone it walking, I just tried to sleep. I woke up shortly after to feeling every bone in my body aching like never before. It was aweful! I didn't realize how sick I was until we got home and I went to the doctor after realizing I had a fever. I had Influenza B!!! No medication for this one. Although I did have to take some pain medication minimally! 3 more weeks of rest!

WEEKS 19-21: SLEEP!!!!

Week 22: I am feeling good!!!!! Just normal pregnancy stuff....sore back(22 lb's of weight will do that), fatigue, migraines (I really miss taking medication for those-though it has been a good excuse to drink Coke periodically).

My husband has been so loving and thoughtful through this - and reminds me often to rest and take care of me. Baby Liam is doing well. I love feeling him move - it makes every ache and pain worth it!!

Thank you to family and friends who have loved and cared for us. Please continue to keep Liam in your prayers.
